I love Black Men!!! Even if no one else does.

So originally the name of this blog was suppose to be Black Boys Are Delicious, which is actually a line in a song from the Broadway play Hair. Google or Youtube it whenever you get a chance. Anyway after a discussion with one of my lovely sisters. Who just happens to never hold any of her words back stated to me that the title sounded like something a pedophile would say and that our men have been boys for too long. Point well taken so hence the title has changed to Black Men Are Delicious! They really are LOL!

I LOVE BLACK MEN!!!!! I say that loudly and proudly as I listen to Angie Stone singing  Brotha in the background. I just feel like my brothers don't get the props they so rightly deserve. Not every black man is like the characters often portrayed in Tyler Perry Movies(sidenote: I like Tyler but I have issues with his depiction of our men since he happens to be one). Anyway this blog is a celebration of black men. They are not all deadbeat, child support dodging baby daddies. They don't all hold up shop on the corner shiftlessly doing nothing all day. Not all black men have aspirations of being  a legendary rapper, shooting hoops in the NBA or running back the ball in the NFL. Not all black men engage in the drug trade or make frequent visits to the Local, State and or Federal prison system. Black men are varied and fascinating, strong, fine and unique. They possess more power in their pinky finger than most possess in their entire body. Their greatness is unmatched and unparalleled.

The purpose of this blog to celebrate black men, have an open dialogue about black men and their importance to the family in the diaspora, educate ourselves about male/ female relationships, also to get a prospective from our brothers about how they feel they are portrayed in this society.
This blog will appear on a weekly basis and at the bottom of the screen you will see a picture of a Black man I just happen to find delicious. Since I love to write poetry periodically one will appear on this blog and we will also have guest pens giving their prospective on why they think black men are delicious. I pray that everyone will enjoy this blog and that both male and female alike will learn a little more about each other and in turn strengthen our relationships and our community. With that being said please comment on any segments that will be posted. If you have an idea or would like to be a guest pen please email me at cinamonsuite@aol.com.

Until next week I leave with the words of the song that inspired the idea for this blog. Have a great week! Church Hugs Gents, Diva Waves Ladies.

Blacks Boys are delicious, chocolate covered love.
Licorice lips like candy. Keep my cocoa handy.
I have such a sweet tooth when it comes to love....
